A group of people from Switzerland were invited to recreate in front of the camera in a fictitious way the collapse of their political and economic system. The acting focused in the gestures of the body and minds of the participants reacting to what could be the end of their social and economic stability: finances, jobs, rights as citizens and welfare. During thirty minutes each person would react following their own instinct and personality having the possibility to design their own “mental breakdown”.
“The Privilege of Acting” puts into perspective a capitalist system that collapses only in a parallel universe. An intimate performance planned and designed by the “actors” of a neoliberal system that is far from crumbling.
